Woodburner installation in Taunton using twinwall chimney system
Did you know you can normally install a woodburner in your property using a twinwall chimney system as an alternative to a brick or stone chimney?
Our customer’s preference was to come of the back of the stove with twinwall and through the wall to give a cleaner look, instead of off the top with vitreous pipe before exiting through the wall.
We normally use a black powdered twin wall chimney system to reduce the visual impact of the chimney on the exterior of the property. We typically install an anti-down draft cowl to protect from wind and rain as standard.
We supplied and install a Brazilian slate hearth and cut to fit at the property, keeping the depth to a minimum. We used the offcut to replace the skirting board, which was removed as regarded as combustible and too close to the woodburner.
Why chose a Woodburner with a log store?
I recommend considering a log store when installing a ‘freestanding’ woodburner in a property when there’s no fireplace or chimney breast as a stove can be elevated by log store to enhance its presence in a room.
The log stores are generally supplied by the manufacture of the woodburners, but universal ones are available to fit most stove.
HETAS SIA Approved Woodburner Installers in Taunton
We installed a Ecosy Panoramic multi-fuel 5kw woodburner for this project, which is one of my favourite stoves due to its largest in class width and ease of use. It is the latest generation of eco-friendly, SIA approved woodburners and draws exceptionally well. Many new SIA approved stoves are heavily baffled and struggle to draw, especially when using twin wall chimney systems.
