Installation of Woodford 5 Wide Woodburner in Glastonbury

We installed this Woodford 5 Wide multi fuel stove in a property a two story property in Chapel Cleeve near Glastonbury. The Wood 5 Wide is high quality multi fuel stove with a 10 year warranty and is SIA approved and Defra Approved.

The new government regulations regarding emissions from a woodburner comes into force in 2022 and any woodburner which is SIA approved meets these new regulations. In 2022 we will only be allow to install SIA approved woodburners but until then we can install any other older model.

We sheet up the entire room before we start to install the woodburner in order to protect against dust and soot. We removed the customers existing 5” liner at no extra charge and swept the chimney ready for a new liner.

The Woodford 5 Wide woodburner has a 5” spigot on the top allowing us to install a 5” flexible liner. In this case the customer requested the higher grade 904 double skinned liner as opposed to the usual 316 single skin liner.

The chimney was very narrow and only a 5” liner could be used, therefore the woodburner had to have a 5” spigot and be defra approved.
